Bihar to Start Smart Class in 28000 Middle Schools
In a major boost to digital education, the Bihar government is set to introduce smart classes in over 28,000 government middle schools starting next academic session. The Education Department is finalizing the proposal and is awaiting approval from the Finance Department.
This move will extend smart classroom access to 37,000 schools across the state, bringing modern learning tools to lakhs of students in rural and urban Bihar.
What Is a Smart Class?
A smart class, also known as a digital class, uses technology to make learning more engaging and effective. It typically includes:

Current Reach and Expansion
At present, 9,000 high and higher secondary schools in Bihar already have smart classes. With the inclusion of middle schools, students in Classes 6, 7, and 8 — totaling nearly 46.5 lakh — will gain access to digital education.

Computer Teachers to Be Appointed
