Why Bihar Is a Dolphin Haven
According to dolphin expert R.K. Sinha, the rivers in Bihar provide ideal water conditions and climate for dolphins to thrive. Unlike other states, Bihar’s rivers retain sufficient water, especially the Ganga, making them a natural sanctuary for river dolphins.
“Bihar is the most favorable state for dolphins,” said R.K. Sinha.
“However, dolphins in rivers like the Son have vanished due to water scarcity.”
